“The Board’s other recommendations include running tests and developing national standards around stability control, eventually requiring systems that meet these standards on all new road motorcycle,” according to NewAtlas.com.

According to the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS), ABS prevents motorcycle wheels from locking up when the rider brakes suddenly.
“No matter how skilled a rider you are, you can’t predict when a driver ahead of you will cut you off, forcing you to brake hard. Road surfaces can be unexpectedly sandy or more slippery than they look,” the IIHS said.
ABS Systems have shown to significantly enhance the safety of motorcycles. Collision insurance claims are filed 20 percent less often in motorcycles with ABS than for those without it. There are also fewer fatal collisions; the rate is about 31 percent lower.
Anti-lock braking systems reduce measure wheel speed to determine when the wheel is going to stop turning. When it senses that the wheel has stopped, it adjusts pressure on the brakes.
